Frida's 1940 Bungalow

This home is known for the inviting backyard featuring a private pool and iconic murals!

The interior is filled with architectural design and tasteful décor. The well-appointed bedrooms are designed with comfort in mind and the kitchen is fully equipped to prepare delicious meals.

The first bedroom (we call it the White Heron Bedroom) features a double bed with a cozy mattress and an extra comfortable topper with luxury Quince bedding and pillows, a smart TV, with a luggage rack and hangers in the closet. There are multiple charging opportunities and vintage books to read.

The second bedroom (we call it the Green Botanical Bedroom) also features a double bed with a cozy mattress, an extra comfortable topper, with luxury Quince bedding and pillows. It too has a luggage rack and hangers in the closet. There are also multiple charging opportunities bedside.

Stay tuned for the 3rd bedroom reveal – This bedroom is currently Frida’s Private room and locked to visitors.

You can view one of the poolside backyard murals through the bathroom window. The bathroom features a newly refurbished bathtub and shower combo and is complete with shampoo, conditioner, soap, black washcloths for makeup, makeups remover wipes, lotion, hair dryer and a curling iron. If you’ve forgotten your toothbrush or toothpaste, we also have that covered!

There is an office nook just off the kitchen with ATT Fiber speed of 1000 WiFi and so many charging opportunities around you’ll need to disconnect in the private backyard.

The laundry room next to the office is fully stocked if you need to catch up on laundry. Please leave any used towels or linens in the laundry room or on the floor.

The kitchen has all new appliances featuring a Jenn-Air down draft electric stove and a separate oven microwave combo. A new pull-out faucet is at the sink near the dishwasher. There is filtered water in the front of the refrigerator and ice inside the top freezer. Next to the refrigerator is the coffee/tea bar with a SMEG tea kettle, a SMEG toaster, and a blender for Marga – Frida’s in the lower cabinet.

You’ll find Frida’s cookbook on the counter next to more charging opportunities and everything you need to prepare delicious home cooked meals. There are paper plates and utensils and plastic glasses to take poolside as well as the good stuff to use inside. We just ask that you put trash in the cans and rinse the dishes prior to loading the dishwasher.

There is a dust buster mounted on the wall as well as a fire extinguisher. You should find anything else you need in the laundry room or under the kitchen or bathroom sinks. If not, just shoot us a text.

There are barstools at the counter, a beautiful dining room with a bench and chairs, and plenty of seating with opportunities to lounge outside by the pool.

The living room welcomes you in and features lots of detailed architecture from 1940 and is complete with a smart TV, velvet sofa and chairs, a cool bar, a coffee table, hip lighting, and you guessed it: more charging opportunities!

The backyard has a sparkling pool and features murals from two of California’s most popular artists! Take a look at the cactus garden, pose alongside a mural, or lounge by the pool under an umbrella. There are plenty of places to sit and dine outside under the lights before you take a dip in the pool.

Take a walk through our peaceful tree lined neighborhood or hop on a bike and go downtown to visit our favorite Art Gallery @thegalleryfinesse, go to the farmer’s market, or dine in one of many different fabulous places in our lovely downtown area.

Please note: Upon booking and paying for your reservation, you agree to all terms.

We have a 2-night minimum and a 28-day maximum stay. We’d love for you to stay longer! With separate bookings, we can deep clean and repair anything needed in between stays.

You will receive a code for keyless entry upon booking that will work during your stay. You will also receive the exact address within an hour of your check-in time. If you are coming from out of town, just head towards downtown Turlock, CA. Any questions? Contact 209-585-5012.

Frida’s House Rules

This is a pet free home – absolutely no cats! Frida is allergic. NO SMOKING INSIDE THE HOUSE, NO PARTIES, NO UNREGISTERED GUESTS/PETS, NO CHILDREN. If the rules are not followed or you arrive with a pet that has not been agreed to prior and according to service animal rules, you will be charged a minimum of $300, asked to leave, and charged for any additional damages.

There are two parking spaces in the driveway behind the old truck as well as street parking. There are cameras that monitor the entry and driveway only. Disabling either camera will nullify your stay and you will be asked to leave immediately without a refund.

Please leave pool sweep in the pool as it is scheduled to turn on as needed. PLEASE DO NOT REMOVE! IF YOU'D LIKE TO REMOVE THE SWEEP, PLEASE CONTACT 209-585-5012 FIRST SO PROPER INSTRUCTIONS CAN BE FOLLOWED TO TURN OFF. ALSO, THE POOL IS MAINTENANCED EVERY MONDAY AT 11AM. THE YARD IS ALSO MAINTENANCE AT THIS TIME.

There are towels for the pool as well as sunscreen, after sun care, and insect repellent in the basket for your use.

The Heating and AC Unit is also brand new with a Honeywell smart thermostat in the hallway. Please do not set thermostat heat above 68 or AC below 70. Extreme temperatures will just compete with the unit.
